This beautiful historic house has undergone a modern remodel to feature an open floor plan and fully updated kitchen with all the supplies you need. There is a back patio with a built-in pizza oven and a fully fenced yard for your kids or dogs to run around. The back yard even has access via a closable wall-installed dog door for extra convince for your stay. The patio accommodates a relaxing drink in the evening shade in comfortable adirondack chairs or a morning coffee with the warm sunrise. After a day of exploring, relax on the sectional and stream the newest releases. With the addition of a full-sized washer and dryer available for your use, this home is a comfortable nest for long stays. STAIRS NOTE: this home's two bedrooms are on the second floor and the primary bathroom is on the main floor this means stairs are required to go from bedroom to bathroom. It's a lovely space, but if you have trouble with stairs, it may not be for you!

Here are a few key details to note: This is a residential area in a walkable urban setting. There is free, non-time-limited street parking right out the front door. There is an ally for parking in the back on property, but the alley gets congested, so please ask if there is access and we suggest the street parking as it's more quick and convenient! The two bedrooms are on the second floor and the primary bathroom is on the main floor (with an additional bathroom in the finished basement space) so please note that you will need to be comfortable with stairs to fully enjoy this space!

David’s home was just wonderful & the perfect Portland stay! Super walkable, relaxing backyard for our dogs, clean and well stocked kitchen & bathrooms; we felt right at home and so did our dogs! David went above and beyond and even set the AC before we checked in so it was cool when we arrived on a super hot day. We’d book again in a heart beat!

We had such a wonderful stay at David’s place! We stayed for 9 nights with my wife and two kids ages 11 months and 3. The home is your classic Portland craftsman home and is remodeled perfectly. Traveling with kids can always be tough but this place had everything we could think of—a wide range of toys, a full-sized crib and pack-n-play, white-noise machine, gates for the stairs, and children-proofed cabinets. This made it easy for us to relax and not feel like the kids would break things. The big bathtub on the main floor was perfect for bathing the kids and relaxing for the parents as well. As others noted, the stairs are a bit creaky at the top, but it never woke up our kids from sleeping. If you’re traveling with little kids, this is your spot. The location of the house is perfect with lots of restaurants and public transit within walking distance. David, the host, accommodated an early check in. All in all this place gave us some wonderful memories and we highly recommend it!

Our stay was great! The house is a nice size, and the fenced backyard was very nice to hang out in and also great for our dog. Everything was very clean, and had most of what we needed in the kitchen, as we tried to cook some meals in to save money:) Maybe have more dish towels available in the kitchen, but other than that it was all great! Thank you, we will definitely try to stay here again when we come to Portland to visit our son and his family.

David was very responsive and quite helpful, including addressing all our concerns about baby safety within the house and a very late check-in time. Checkin was a breeze. Easy location to get to, awesome little walkable neighborhood with some great restaurants. Easy drive to get anywhere in Portland, including downtown, Science Museum, and very short drive to Moda Center. The place itself was surprisingly bigger than we expected on the main level. Beautiful remodel in kitchen and bathroom, updated everything. Overall, a very comfortable stay for a family of four. Well stocked. Backyard was beautiful, closed in and perfect if you have a pup with you. As stated in listing, the main bathroom is on the main level, no bathroom upstairs with the bedrooms. We thought it might be an issue/inconvenient, but honestly, wasn't really an issue. There are some fun toys for the kids and baby gates at each staircase. 2nd bath in basement w laundry. Comfortable stay for our 10 days.

Lovely home. Great kitchen and had everything we needed. We even played a few records! Our pup loved the spacious backyard and we love the very walkable neighborhood. There’s coffee and restaurants around the corner and a quiet neighborhood nearby for leisurely walking. Hosts were very responsive and quick with solutions when we needed. Would definitely stay again.

My friend, my dog, and I all enjoyed our stay at David's place. The location is great; it was easy to get around and the food spots nearby are all excellent choices. I regret not checking the date/hours for Jinju Patisserie, next time! The couch was our prime hang out and I plan on buying the same brand couch in the near future because it was incredibly comfy. Yogi enjoyed the fenced in backyard. We will definitely look at David's other properties whenever back in Portland and/or Phoenix!

We had a wonderful stay! David was a responsive and helpful host, making check-in and communication a breeze. The backyard was perfect for our dogs to enjoy, and the home was well-stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and essentials, and there were lots of clean towels, paper towels, and toilet paper available. The location was fantastic—tons of great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

Great stay in a very walkable great neighborhood. We were here for two weeks over Christmas and had a super fun time. Nice big backyard, huge bathroom with great shower, big peninsula island, and comfy beds. All appliances worked great including washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Our dog loved heading out back in the mornings. We really enjoyed the huge TV for family movie nights and there were tons of toys there! The decor of the place was modern and well designed. We felt our cars were pretty safe with street parking available - no issues. Award winning bakery down the block, a great dive a street over, and tons of coffee and restaurants to choose from.
